Because our pets age more quickly than humans,
we stress the importance of an annual physical examination.

Thorough Check-ups and preventative care can help alleviate serious health problems.

We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best.

Our surgical suite

We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital

Dentistry:  Our dental services include digital dental x-rays, teeth cleaning and polishing, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery

VideoVetscope: Our vetscope, primarily used as a video otoscope, is a valuble tool when treating ear problems.  It facilitates both the treatment of severe or chronic ear infections and allows us to share images from deep inside the ear with the pet's owners. The links to the right are examples of such images

Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Permanent identification: We offer microchip identification, the AVID Friendchip. The microchip is the size of a grain of rice, and is implanted under the skin using a large needle. The microchip contains an ID number, and you register your contact information to that number (there is a one-time registration fee). Animal hosptials and shelters have scanners that we routinely use to screen stray animals; if a microchip is found, we call and obtain the owner's contact information. Implantation is discounted if done at the time of an anesthetic procedure (i.e. spay or neuter).

Individualized Flea Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

Dietary Counseling:  Our doctors and staff can provide individualized guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.

Behavioral Counseling:  We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression and recommend trainers.
